It was an absolute pleasure to create this magical gown- the Isla made-to measure dress from our Oscar Lili collection. The Isla wedding dress is a timeless classic which oozes luxury and glamour. The gorgeous top has a simple boat neckline and full length sleeve- as this is part of our couture collection the sleeve length can be modified to your choice. To mix styles up a bit, the Isla top has a contrasting open back which brings a modern feel to your look- open backs are all the rage right now!  The skirt of the Isla gown is a fitted shape which will skim around your body beautifully showing off your figure. The panelling on either side of the skirt brings volume and flare- as well as extra leg room for dancing in the evening! The saying ‘it’s all in the details’ applies to this dress, in the form of a gorgeous stream of satin buttons which run down the back of the skirt. The skirt then flows into a glorious train, being a bespoke dress you can opt to have as small or big a train as you wish! Harriet dreamed of adding her own personal touch,so we created a beautiful bespoke detachable bow and belt. Congratulations to Emma, one of recent Oscar Lili brides! We love to see our dresses in situ, as well as all the different venues, flowers, bridesmaids dresses that come together on the day. Our real brides are the perfect inspiration for those at the beginning of their bridal journey! Emma opted for a bespoke wedding dress and bolero combo- the Natalie dress with the Kelly bolero. This wedding dress is a classic A line shape, fitted at the top with a cinched in waist and free flowing skirt. The Natalie wedding gown has a gorgeous deep V shaped neckline which is also mirrored on the back- balancing the look out perfectly - you can never go wrong with an open back! The top features dainty spaghetti straps to support you, this minimalistic detail also means all attention will be to the neckline and open back. It also means you can play with necklace accessories if you wish!   Want two looks in one? The bolero can be your magical bridal tool, made completely from scratch to match your dress. The Kelly bolero is made from an ornate, modern lace which features botanical and floral details, this fabric is utterly unique and brings a modern twist to traditional lace. Vines, leaves and flowers intertwine all over the bolero, high neck and cap sleeves- if you look closely you can also see the lace edge finishing, it’s all in the small details! Bolero’s can be added onto your dress permanently, or can be added/ taken off throughout the day- this option also means you can wear it again- a spectacular and sustainable look, what more could you want! The voluminous chiffon layered skirt gives the Natalie dress that dramatic edge, finishing in a beautiful puddle train. All you need is your bridesmaids to puff the train out for you every now and then! We are finally in the summer months therefore this is the perfect opportunity to showcase the short sleeve wedding dress, and what a better way to do this than through some real bride inspiration. A huge congratulations to one of our Oscar Lili real brides- Claire!  Claire wore the gorgeous Adele wedding gown, a bespoke piece made especially for her. “I wanted our wedding to be as sustainable as possible (La Novia made my dress to measure to avoid waste, and used sustainable fabric). I am also having the dress shortened to wear again, and am repurposing the excess fabric…”   As a designer, Oscar Lili is paving the way in the world of bridal sustainability. We know that sustainability and the ability to rewear is a high priority for modern brides, and we are proud to take into account the many issues our brides are concerned with when choosing a dress.  Our manufacturing process ensures to keep fabric waste to a minimum, we do this by reusing/ restyling sample dresses and mainly using eco friendly and recycled fabrics to make our wedding gowns. The Adele wedding dress features a gorgeous floral and aztec patterned lace top, which has a deep V neck front and diamond open back which is a unique and hugely flattering look. The back is tied together with an elegant bow which flows down the back of the dress into the gorgeous sweeping A- line skirt. As we are in full swing of winter, and cold January, the Oscar Lili team thought it would be the perfect idea to provide a bit of exotic, fun, wedding inspiration from one of our real brides who got married in Canada. A huge congratulations to Makena, you looked stunning in our ‘Selena’ couture bridal dress (found at our stockist La Novia) - a bohoesque dream come true!   Thank you Makena for your lovely notes about your day/dress: “My dress made it all the way to Canada!! It was super comfortable and perfect for my lakeside wedding in the country side! Everyone absolutely adored the sleeves. We planned a wedding in 2 months, so it was a real family affair!”   The Selena bridal gown made by Liliana Dabic is an utterly unique dress. The fit and flare style made in a smooth double crepe fabric is a very flattering shape, hugging the body elegantly and finishing in a glorious puddle train. The square neckline creates a gorgeous frame, revealing the collar bones and elongating the neck. This neckline is contrasted with the V shaped back which gives the dress a fun, contemporary feel. The sheer sleeves on the Lilian gown are dainty and delicate, scattered with a lovely botanical pattern, which is rounded off with a cuff- a perfect finishing touch. The bridal gown also has a row of beautiful satin buttons which run down the back of the dress, as the saying goes it’s the little things in life! In terms of accessories, Makena wore the most spectacular flower crown! The combination of pinky, beige and yellow blooms intertwined with leafy greens created the perfect warm colour palette. I walked down the aisle to my favourite Highland dance music (pastime of mine) and I cried through the whole ceremony. Our family and friends all came in the evening to dance the night away with us and I honestly don't know where the hours went. I felt amazing in my dress and everyone told me I couldn't have found one that fit my personality better anywhere.”   Thank you Amy for your generous, kind words. Huge congratulations to Sophie and Lewis! After being forced to postpone their wedding for over a year, Sophie finally managed to walk down the aisle in our stunning Lily dress, from the Oscar Lili collection, made-to measure at our sister boutique, La Novia. It is such a joy for the La Novia bridal team to see all our brides finally able to go ahead with their weddings! We are also always excited to see photos of our dresses on the big day with make-up, flowers, bridesmaids…the whole show! Sophie looked exquisite in the classic, luxurious lace Lily wedding gown. This dress is designed for the bride who is seeking a classic lace look, whilst also having that contemporary touch- in the Lily dress, this is reflected in the off shoulder sweetheart neckline bodice. Our Oscar Lili bridal collection strives to combine classic looks with modern touches. Our custom made service enables our brides to truly have the look of their dreams, whether this be a dress, a two-piece or trousers! Delving into the finer details of the Lily gown, the material used is double crepe and lace with added cotton floral appliques. The boned shape of the bodice is made to fit your body, and has structure as well as built in made to measure bra cups. We wish all the congratulations to our lovely bride Bethan and her husband Craig who had the happiest micro-wedding back in May. Bethan was a dream to work with and really embraced the freedom she had to customise her dress with us. Initially looking for bridal separates we tried lots of different options before coming to the conclusion that we would make her a dress combing all of her favourite design features. She opted for this pretty and modern A-line style with the most fun tulle skirt covered in large sequinned flowers to give her a truly unique bridal style. The minimal boat neck bodice gives this dress the perfect balance of modern elegance and Bethan looks so so fab!   This gorgeous Oscar Lili bride Wow-ed us with these atmospheric wedding photos (Juliette Lichman Photography) which captured so many beautiful details, as well as this couple’s joy all through their day.  Amanda & James have the biggest smiles in all of their photos, and we had all the feels getting an insight into their lovely day when trying to choose a few of our favourite images.    Amanda looks beyond stunning in her Stella York (6979) wedding dress, which she chose in a sparkling soft blush shade to give her a twist on a traditional bridal style. This strapless design with its fishtail silhouette fitted Amanda to perfection and gave her a bit of glam for her special day. The baroque ivory lace overlay emphasises the lace design detail and this mix of tones look absolutely perfect with the pink and neutrals of Amanda’s huge bouquet from Feather Grass Florals - isn’t it just stunning! Their intimate ceremony was elegant and perfectly styled with modern foliage, and the rustic vibe of their venue allowed for a relaxed and romantic setting. We love a sunny destination wedding, and after seeing these amazing photos from Antonia’s wedding day, we were not disappointed. If you want a romantic getaway wedding then where better than a historic hilltop village surrounded by gorgeous countryside and vineyards… Choosing to get married in Antonia’s family hometown of Monforte, in the beautiful Lazio region of Italy, Antonia and her husband James took a personal and laid-back approach to their wedding planning; opting to design and decorate most of their day themselves with simple lighting, and handmade decorations for a rustic and quintessentially Italian feel. With the help of Antonia’s parents they even sourced wood from the surrounding mountains to create their own take on the wedding arch. As you can see from these photos fuss-free was the way to go and their day looked gorgeous!   Antonia’s bridal look combined our Oscar Lili separates into a customised design and was just the right balance of relaxed and elegant, which worked perfectly for the occasion being a warm summer wedding. The ceremony took place in the local church which requires an element of tradition when it comes to a bridal gown, therefore the delicate French Fiona lace bolero was an ideal addition with a refined boat neckline and long sleeves. Having a bolero layered over Antonia’s customized wedding gown, made by our very own Liliana Dabic for Oscar Lili, was the perfect way to bring versatility to the look.   After the ceremony and their meal, the couple hired a square in the neighbouring village where all the locals could get involved and enjoy the celebrations along with the guests. Antonia’s wedding dress was a simple and sleek strapless style which accentuated her figure with a plain waistband. The intricate beaded lace overlay on the skirt added some sparkle and a touch of glamour perfect for the evening party time in the piazza, and it also paired beautifully with her cute gold heels which gave her wedding style a stylish twist.
