This gorgeous Oscar Lili bride Wow-ed us with these atmospheric wedding photos (Juliette Lichman Photography) which captured so many beautiful details, as well as this couple’s joy all through their day. Amanda & James have the biggest smiles in all of their photos, and we had all the feels getting an insight into their lovely day when trying to choose a few of our favourite images. Amanda looks beyond stunning in her Stella York (6979) wedding dress, which she chose in a sparkling soft blush shade to give her a twist on a traditional bridal style. This strapless design with its fishtail silhouette fitted Amanda to perfection and gave her a bit of glam for her special day. The baroque ivory lace overlay emphasises the lace design detail and this mix of tones look absolutely perfect with the pink and neutrals of Amanda’s huge bouquet from Feather Grass Florals - isn’t it just stunning! Their intimate ceremony was elegant and perfectly styled with modern foliage, and the rustic vibe of their venue allowed for a relaxed and romantic setting. Despite having to postpone due to covid, we’re so pleased this couple eventually got to have their beautiful day and we wish them all the congratulations from the Oscar Lili team! For our 2022 bridal collection inspiration, we are looking to all things Bohemian, to give our brides a beautifully romantic selection of gowns for the non-traditional wedding. From a forest elopement, to a breezy beach wedding, or the perfect Summer garden shindig, we are designing a new collection of wedding dresses that are versatile and effortless for laid-back, outdoor ceremonies. We love working with our Boho brides to create their perfect look and experiment with accessories that show off your individuality. For our new designs, we're thinking of pairing them with flower crowns, shoes that give a pop of colour and simple jewellery to finish off your bridal wear beautifully; why not have fun and get playful with your accessories. We will have some gorgeous new styles available for you to browse when we re-open next month, but in the meantime, we've been busy shooting samples for our look book with sister company La Novia, to give you a preview of things to come. Keep your eyes on our social media for updates and if you can't wait to start bridal shopping you can book your appointment at our Edinburgh bridal studio via firstname.lastname@example.org.
2020 brought more awareness to our shopping habits, and since traveling farther afield hasn't been an option for most, shopping local is now especially important. There is something so lovely about buying local; it is nice to get to know business owners in your neighborhood and have a personal connection in these strange times. We are really missing this over lockdown and excited to get to see our customers again if all goes to plan with phased re-opening at the end of April. In the meantime, you can shop online with us and we are here to help via email. When it comes to your wedding you can look around to make sure your wedding, big or small, is locally sourced. Edinburgh, for example, is bursting at the seams for local suppliers. Considering how many choices you have to make for your wedding, the hard part will be deciding which suppliers to work with; choosing small independent businesses who have more time to spend with you personally means that they will be invested in making sure the service they provide for your wedding day is perfect and reflects your individual style. Knowing the suppliers means you know you are getting the highest quality and it is completely bespoke. Here at our Edinburgh bridal shop, we have many clients from our neighborhood of Morningside and from all over Edinburgh/Lothians. Choosing your wedding dress can be a long process and we love getting to know our brides from the first consultation right through to hearing all about their wedding days and seeing photos from the day. We offer exclusive one-to-one appointments where you can enjoy the bridal boutique all to yourself. We work with you to make sure your wedding dress or bridal separates are exactly what you want, making sure your final look is completely yours. As each wedding dress is made just for you it will fit like a glove, and we see you back for multiple fittings at the bridal studio to ensure you feel amazing in your design. Appointments are available from 29th April and it is essential to book in advance. Contact us at email@example.com or use our booking form to arrange your consultation.
As a result of the pandemic, intimate Bohemian weddings and small outdoor ceremonies are on the rise, and our brides are looking for something a bit more unusual for their wedding day. Our bridal boleros are a popular choice to create a versatile and casual look, and the extra layer over your dress is a welcome extra layer to keep you warm when spending more of your day outdoors. If you are looking for a bit more of a statement piece then we have been adding to our collection of bridal capes to inspire you. These are perfect for the individual bride who wants a little extra coverage, and they can be worn over a simple wedding dress to transform your bridal style into a dreamy Boho look. Our new favourite piece is the Mira cape which is sheer and romantic. The delicate vine leaf embroidery is simple and modern and would look gorgeous accessorized with a botanical hairpiece as a finishing touch. The Jen cape is another option to wear over a plain bridal gown or separates set and is made from fun, fringed lace for a playful look. The shorter length means this cape is easy to wear and effortless, whilst still giving your bridal wear a unique twist. We make our designs in our Edinburgh bridal studio and if you don't want to go for a traditional wedding dress then we have plenty alternatives to choose from in our bridal separates range. Take a look through our styles for more inspiration and shop the look on Etsy.
We are proud to be one of Scotland’s leading stockist of ÉLYSÉE Bridal Design and these gorgeous wedding gowns are our brides’ favorites. The brand’s 2020 collection was a top-seller at our Edinburgh bridal studio and we’re hoping that, post-lockdown the new styles arriving with us will be just as popular. The latest collection for 2021 is all about sleek silhouettes and luxury detailing; with a focus on classic ivory fabrics, rather than the nude tones of last year’s bridal collection. When it comes to designer wedding dresses these ready-to-wear styles give high-quality and fashion forward design and we’ve picked out a couple of our favourites which you’ll be able to order in store. Seraphine This sleek Mikado wedding dress is a showstopper, with a fit and flare silhouette which is finished off by a dramatic mermaid skirt, with tulle layers underneath providing extra volume. The strapless neckline is squared for a modern look with ruched detail which flatters the figure. The seams of this dress are carefully placed to give more structure and enhance your curves. Selene This bridal gown is made from beautiful hand-beaded baroque lace to add some sparkle to your look. The delicate spaghetti straps are stylish and combine with the low lace back to make you feel glamorous and sexy on your wedding day. This fitted gown gives you a dreamy silhouette, with a tulle layered fishtail skirt that ends in a frothy train with lace edging. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on our full ÉLYSÉE range.
Modern lace and creative sleeves are on the rise as 2022’s most sought after bridal trends and we’ve been busy creating some new arrivals for the new season at our Edinburgh studio. Our new bridal collection is all about sleek and versatile gowns with a stylish, understated feel. The new Nena wedding dress is a luxurious design made from double crepe which hangs perfectly on the body. The elegant fit and flare cut hugs your curves and flares out into a pooling train for a touch of drama. The high boat neckline compliments the overall simplicity of this bridal gown which is balanced with gorgeous lace detail at the sleeves and back. We have used modern tulle applique lace to create the sheer open back of this bridal dress which gives a sexy look inspired by European bridal trends. The 3D floral lace embellishments cascade down the sleeves and give the perfect amount of detail for the bride who wants a fuss-free, yet unique bridal look. Created with a conscious approach, we have used excess lace pieces and hand-cut the appliques to make sure none of our fabric goes to waste; ensuring our brides can have both a beautiful and sustainable wedding dress. You can find the Nena wedding gown on our Etsy store now: La Novia Dress UK 12 Sustainable Luxurious Two Ply Double Crep | Etsy
Now it is more important than ever to make conscious choices when it comes to clothing. And wedding dresses are no exception, so here at Oscar Lili, we think about the material we use for our designs so that we create as little waste as possible. We make sure to always be responsible with the choices we make, and use as much fabric as we can including off-cuts and excess trims. For instance, any fabric not used in our wedding dresses we use to make our bridal face masks and accessories so that nothing goes to waste. This means you can consider all the details and have an entirely matching outfit! We also take great care in re-designing sample bridal gowns, so as not to completely start from the beginning. This gives the dress a new life, and hopefully a new owner. By using better materials, this, in turn, increases the quality which makes our bridal dresses look and feel more luxurious. For example, silk has a low environmental impact and is completely biodegradable. At Oscar Lili we do want our designs to stand out and be sustainable, so using high-quality fabrics ensures high standards. Lace is a big part of our designs, from our bridal boleros to accents on wedding dresses. By incorporating it into each aspect of the designs we want to make sure that there it is used as effectively as possible. Our conscious bridal wear is affordable for a range of budgets and available to shop in our Edinburgh bridal studio, as well as online so you can still browse our collection from home. Get your post-lockdown bridal appointment booked in now to see our sustainable choices as well as shopping local to support independent businesses like ourselves. We can't wait to see all of you lovely brides again soon.
Understandably lots of couples have had to change their plans for their dream wedding days. As face coverings have become the norm, there is no reason to not have a special bridal face mask to match your bridal outfit. As with our dresses, we have a great selection of masks to fit your personal style. Whether you are a bohemian, classic, or sparkly bride we have a choice for you. If your dress is also created by La Novia or Oscar Lili you can have a matching mask too, take a look at our Katie mask and bridal bolero below for example! There is a mix of ivory, nude and lace designs to fit all styles. Have a look at our Etsy store for all our designs!
